I know I am behind the times of the Chick-fil-A and Popeye's chicken sandwich debate. I wasn't too concerned with it, I thought a chicken sandwich was a chicken sandwich no matter where you got it.

I was wrong. They are very different. They do both come on a bun and have pickles, but one has mayo and the other doesn't. The chicken is different too. The Popeye's is more crispy like fried chicken, as it should be because it comes from a fried chicken restaurant.  The Chick-fil-A sandwich is not as crunchy. I do like the Popeye's sandwich comes with mayo, and I don't like that the Chick-fil-A sandwich comes dry. I always have to put sauce on it, usually Chick-fil-A sauce

I of course have Chick-fil-A's sandwich many many time but I had never has Popeye's, so I could never weigh in on the topic. I don't have a Popeye's near so I never ventured out of my norm to go get one. However their is a Chick-fil-A right by my house, so I go there.

I happen to be in Odessa probably about a month ago and was close by Popeye's and thought I should try the chicken sandwich, so I did.  I loved it! I totally think that Popeye's wins the challenge. However I do have to say that I could eat a Chick-fil-A sandwich anytime but I could only eat a Popeye's chicken sandwich when I was craving it. Not something I could do as often as a Chick-fil-A sandwich.

So you tell me, Popeye's or Chick-fil-A
