The Great Debate: Seafood or Steak – Gunner
Every morning at 8:10am, Gwen and I face-off on a new topic, and we're always on opposite sides. The question is--who's side are YOU on? Could be about anything--so far it's been about things like Favorite Chips and whether or not they belong on a sandwich, Whether or not Pets belong in Bed with you at night, and so much more! Sound off in the comments section below and tell us YOUR opinion, and who you think presented their side of the argument the best.
Today--it's all about Seafood or Steak! Gwen is all about the seafood and it doesn't really matter WHAT--with a few exceptions. I'm one who lives by the motto "If it's in the water, LEAVE IT THERE!". It wasn't meant to be removed. And although I've had a few chefs tell me that if seafood smells fishy it's either not fresh or not prepared correctly--that seems to be the general rule I run into no matter where i go to try it. I can do shrimp and actually LOVE coconut shrimp--but that's about it.
I love my steak! Like Rusty who called in to the show this morning--I am also a "well done" guy. I like it well done. And there are those who say that "well done" ruins the flavor--which isn't true for me the way I prepare it because I marinade it for at least an hour prior to cooking on the grill in a garlic parmesan marinade. Makes the meat tender and soft and very delicious. I can also do medium-well, but that's all I can go when it comes to dialing the cooking time back. I can't wrap my mind around those people who like their steak medium-rare or less. But to each their own.
Drop us a note below steak lovers and tell us who's side YOU are on today!
