Every Wednesday we feature a different pet that needs a new forever home here in the Basin from Lonestar Sanctuary For Animals. Sometimes it's a dog, sometimes it's a cat. They haven't had any guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, or snakes---yet. But you never know!

Meet Kala!

She is a four-year-old Chihuahua Terrier Mix!  They don't come much sweeter than Kala!  Still full of puppy energy, Kala loves to play with toys and other dogs.  Once she has tired herself out, Kala loves to sit on a lap and snuggle!  She also enjoys car rides and looks out the window the entire drive!  Due to her boundless energy, Kala needs a yard to run and play in!  She is great with all people, including children, and would make a great companion dog!  They haven't tested her with cats and are unsure if she would be able to share a home with a cat.  If you are looking for a small dog who is young enough to play but calm enough to cuddle and chill on your lap, please consider coming to meet Kala!  She has been spayed and is up to date on her vaccines and waiting for the right person or people to call her theirs! Come meet Kala every day from 1-4:30 pm except Thursdays!

And if for some reason you're not looking for a pet right now--please click SHARE and post this to your social media so we can help Kala find her forever home. Or perhaps you're looking for a different new furry friend. There are so many fur babies who would love to meet you so stop by and pay them a visit! There are plenty of dogs and cats to choose from who would love to be your next family member.

The Lone Star Sanctuary For Animals can always use supplies as well so if you can, stop by and drop off a donation to help the staff care for the shelter animals till they can find their forever homes. Needed right now:
