They say a picture is worth a thousand words. I don't know if I can come up with a thousand to describe Bryce Ramirez's smile after one of the worst moments of his life, but man do I feel it.

Just soak in the moment.

First of all, kudos to Cory for withholding this on Saturday out of respect for the situation. Not many people would do that in today's media world. All the respect to him. After he knew Ramirez would be alright, the magnitude of that smile absolutely deserves a platform.

I didn't know much about Ramirez before the injury, but he was always labeled as a hard worker by both coaching staffs he's played under. He showed flashes in the spring game and had worked his way into a prevalent role on Saturday. In his third year on campus, to have finally broken through and to seemingly have your season end must have been a tough range of emotions to battle through as he was carted off, yet, as you can see, Ramirez had high spirits.

Head coach Joey McGuire relayed that after the game and during his weekly press conference on Monday, "You can hear his smile in his voice."

Ramirez updated his condition this morning, as you can see above. He had a second surgery and will be back in Lubbock later this week.

If you want to give Ramirez well wishes you can do so at the Kudo Board set up by the Gamblin' Gauchos at the request of several Red Raider fans. With more than 300 submissions from Texas Tech fans, NC State fans, and people across the Big 12, there has been an enormous amount of Love for Ramirez. Keep it going below:
