Aaron Watson is returning to the Hacienda Event Center to headline the Cancer Sucks Fest benefiting West Texas Gifts of Hope. Cancer Sucks Fest is an annual fundraiser for West Texas Gifts, benefitting local cancer patients undergoing treatment.

Aaron Watson will be headlining this event with special guests Roger Creager and Braxton Keith. This year's event will be on Saturday, August 26th. Doors open at 6 pm.

General Admission tickets are $40 in advance and $50 at the door.

West Texas Gifts of Hope is an amazing organization that assists local patients battling cancer. Here are some of the services they provide:

Lodging:

A four-bedroom lodging facility with private baths, living room, dining room, and kitchen. Everything is complimentary without charge except the patient’s food. They also provide hotel stays if the Hope House is fully occupied.

Look Good, Feel Good:

Cosmetic enhancements include hair, skin, and nails. Wigs, turbans, and a variety of hats are provided for all cancer patients who want to look better and feel better.

Transportation:

Gas cards are provided for patients in remote areas while complimentary taxi and public bus vouchers are given to local patients in need of transport to the cancer center.

Prescription Assistance:

Assistance for prescriptions is available with an order from the patient’s oncologist and the cancer treatment is either dependent on the medication or the medication is prescribed for comfort during treatment.

Dental Assitance:

Dental assistance is provided only when the oncologist will not administer cancer treatment without the prescribed dental procedures.

Care Packages:

This service provides helpful items for oral, skin, and emotional care for the patient while taking treatment.

Medical Equipment and Supplies:

Durable medical equipment is provided upon request when a patient is in need of wheelchairs, walkers, or other appliances and/or supplies.

Counseling:

They offer counseling on the last Tuesday of every month.
