We do love our Whataburger here in the Lone Star State.

It seems like every time I turn around, I come across a story about a birthday or engagement photos or whatever kind of random event you can think of is being held a Whataburger. It’s like everybody is trying to out-Texas one another on the internet.

And nothing says “Texas” like celebrating a life event at a Whataburger.

Celebrating another trip around the sun? That calls for a Patty Melt. Thinking about popping the question to your girlfriend? Might as well do it over a couple of All-Time Favorites.

So, of course, it was only a matter of time until someone held a baby shower at a Whataburger.

Holding an event at a Whataburger has never once crossed my mind (and I love Whataburger). It’s just that it’s never top of mind when planning an event.

But that’s about the only time that Whataburger isn’t at the top of my mind. You see, I live right around the corner from a Whataburger. And I pass by that thing on the way to the radio station daily.

And every day it calls out to me. Especially on the rare occasion that there’s no one in the drive-thru. At that point, I feel obligated to stop and get something. Even if I just got done eating, I can always grab an apple pie for an afternoon snack.

Anyway, back to the baby shower. Congrats to the parents and here’s to a healthy baby.
