Everyone likes to have have fun but don't like to spend a lot of money. It is also nice to find things to do here at home that you can take the whole family to. Here is a list of activities that are happening around the Permian Basin this summer that won't cost you an arm and a leg.

Museum of the Southwest

Grab a lawn chair, cooler and friends and join us on the front lawn of the historic Turner Mansion for the 31st season of Summer Sunday Lawn Concerts. Free concerts are provided on the following evenings and feature a variety of music from bands with local roots. Concerts run from 7:30 to 9 p.m., and guests are welcome to come early to get the party started!

Summer Sunday Lawn Concerts are underwritten by CBS7 and the Midland Reporter-Telegram. Each concert is presented free to the community through the generosity of the musicians, corporate sponsors, underwriters and media sponsors.

Flag Football tournament!

Games will be held at Washington Park begining 7:00pm. There is only one division (Adult League). Team shirts are perfered but not required.

Registration fee of $20.00 dollars will be required day of game.

Moviemaker Mondays June 11
Movie Maker Mondays will feature a movie, popcorn, hands-on experiments, engineering/maker challenges, creative activities, and games. Monday, June 11th and Monday, June 18th from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm for children ages 6 - 12. Cost is $10 per child for Petroleum Museum members and $15 per child for non-members. We would like to extend a speical thank you to Apache Corporation for sponsoring our 2018 Movie Maker Mondays.
