Half of USA’s 10 Most Stressful Cities To Work Are in Texas
I have given you the most dangerous city in Texas, I have given you the safest cities in Texas, and now here comes the most stressful cities to work, not only in Texas but in the entire United States. I would have thought Texas would be considered a nice, peaceful place to live.
LLC.org compiled this list based on crime rates, single-income households, income growth rates, hours worked, lack of health insurance, commute time, percentage of people who leave for work before 7 am, and percentage of people who cannot work remotely.
Here are the top five most stressful cities to work in Texas:
6. San Antonio
I decided to throw in an extra for you. I don't know about you but it stresses me to drive in San Antonio. I would rather drive in Dallas/Fort Worth than San Antonio, especially downtown. San Antonio comes in #12 overall in America.
5. Fort Worth
Home of the Stockyards, this Cowtown city neighboring Dallas made the list at number five in Texas, but came at number nine overall in America.
4. Corpus Christi
Corpus Christi is one of only a few major Texas cities I have never been to, so I can't speak from personal experience on this one. I would think life at the beach wouldn't be stressful at all.
The next three all came in as the top three most stressful cities to work not only in Texas but in the entire country.
3. Dallas
I can see how Dallas made this list with its high cost of living and all the traffic. Totally understandable.
2. Arlington
I was surprised at this one. I think Arlington is pretty easy to navigate through, although I do know they have a high crime rate, and I guess people commute out of Arlington into Dallas or Fort Worth to work.
1. Houston
This one comes as no shock to me. The Houston traffic is horrible and the roads are always under construction. The city of Houston also has a high cost of living and a high crime rate.
