Texas Man Skips Payment on 2 lbs of Meth Runs To Police For Help

A Texas man showed up at the Harrison County Sheriff's Office worried, looking for protection. The man explained his life was in danger and needed help and protection from law enforcement.

FORGOT TO PAY HIS DEBTS

The man who spoke with investigators was 33-year-old Pedro Serrano. During the interview, Serrano claimed his life was in danger because he had failed to pay his supplier for the narcotics he received.

Serrano admitted he had, “a large quantity of narcotics in his vehicle, which he had parked outside” according to the Harrison County Sherrif's Office.

WHAT DID HE THINK WOULD HAPPEN?

When they wrapped up the interview, Serrano was obviously in trouble, honestly, what did he think would happen after admitting to all that? Investigators attempted to take Serrano into custody for the narcotics, however, Serrano had other plans.

When investigators tried to arrest him Serrano began fighting them inside the interview room. Several other investigators had to come in to help retain Serranom however, he continued to resist.

SEARCH WARRANT OBTAINED

Eventually, Serrano was handcuffed and taken to jail. Due to the confession during his interview, a search warrant for Serrano's vehicle was secured. When his vehicle was searched, sure enough, those narcotics Serrano spoke about were right there.

He probably was rightfully scared for his life after not paying for the nearly two pounds of methamphetamine that were in his car. Serrano was charged with possession of a controlled substance plus resisting arrest after the ordeal inside the interview room.

“Law Enforcement is a unique career, and every day is different, as this episode clearly shows. I am thankful these narcotics landed in our lap instead of the streets or lives of our community. Fortunately, none of my Staff were injured during the struggle of trying to arrest this suspect,” said Harrison County Sheriff Brandon Fletcher.
