Tonight about 6:45 (ish) the moon will be eclipsed by Earth in a penumbral eclipse. What does that mean Big Huck? It means that the Earth is not fully blocking the light of the Sun. That means no color changing effects or rims like other eclipses tend to create. Not only is tonight an eclipse, but the moon is full. Basically tonight you will see a full moon (clouds permitting) with a darker appearance around 6:45 PM.

Not only is there going to be an eclipse and a full moon but you might just be able to see a comet fly by! Comet 45P/Honda-Mrkos-Pajdusáková will be flying close to earth. Unfortunately though you won't be able to see it even if you're squinting. So, get out that dusty or (to my skywatcher fans) pristine telescope and look to the sky's my friends! According to The Washington Post you can see the comet and the eclipse on slooh.com starting at 4:30.
