(Texas) Thinking back to our middle and high school days, we can remember those kids who were snobs. They walk the hall thinking they are better than all of us. They were often wearing the latest fashion trends, the newest and hottest kicks, and driving expensive cars with a high-and-mighty attitude.

How Snob Culture Shows Up in Texas

After high school, we'd like to think we've outgrown that stage. Unfortunately, that isn't the case; our snobbiness has just transformed. Just take a look around, and you see that Texas is actually full of snobs. Barbecue and music snobs are just the tip of a long list of snobs. I'm not going to call out those individuals, or even cities that could be snobs; you can probably make an educated guess.

Which Texas Cities Have a Reputation

Now even Texas cities can be snobs! Dallas is considered more snobby than Fort Worth; Austin sticks its nose up at others in the Lone Star State the most; and Midland looks down on Odessa at times. The same goes for Tyler and Longview, and it's probably happening in Bryan and College Station, too.

When it comes to naming the snobbiest cities in Texas, we can almost overlook the big cities and just head out to the suburbs.

Movoto creators believe they have identified where the snobbiest of all Texans call home. It's not me that came up with the list; Movoto curated the list scientifically with their formula that was way more intense than I could ever imagine.

How the Rankings Were Determined

"We relied on facts and figures to create this list, not just our opinions of those cities. We started by making a list of the 100 largest cities in Texas according to the 2010 U.S. Census. Then, using the Census and business listings, we looked at each place in terms of the snob-tastic criteria." (Movoto)
