Clint Black came into the country music scene in one of the greatest times in country music, late 80s, and early 90's. He signed to RCA records in 1989. By 1992, Clint Black had already sold over 5 million albums. Throughout his vast career, he has released over 30 singles and scored 22 number-one hits.

In 1990 Clint Black started dating TV star Lisa Hartman. They were able to keep their relationship secret until the first picture of the two of them came out the week they were engaged. In 2001 they would welcome their only child Lily Pear Black.

Clint Black came into country music during an amazing time. It seems like the early 90s gave us some of the best of the best in country music. Clint Black came on the scene at the same time as Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, Clay Walker, and Mark Chestnutt.
