What Does It Mean When You Get The Baby

Today is Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday). Many Traditions come along with Mardi Gras celebrations. A lot of people have huge parties, feasts and more.

One of the main traditions of Mardi Gras is to have King Cake. King Cake represents the three kings that went to see baby Jesus. The green, gold, and purple colors also have representation. The purple for justice, green for faith, and gold for power.

Another tradition that goes with the king cake is putting a baby inside the cake. If you get the piece of cake with the baby in it, it is your responsibility to provide the cake next year. It is also believed that your year will be full of grace but if you don't get the cake doom and gloom, LOL.  Some try to say you will become pregnant but that is an old myth.

It just so happens that this is not my first year to get the baby, so next year I will have to get the cake for next year.
