Welcome to some of the most haunted spots in Texas. Hope in the car and head southeast to check out these paranormal spots. Let's start out in San Antonio to get you in the spirit. Take a trip down the San Antonio River Walk and enjoy all the lights and decorations for Halloween. Now that you are feeling all festive let the spooking begin.
Yorktown Hospital
Your first stop will take you 80 miles south of San Antonio to Yorktown to the Yorktown Hospital. The abandoned hospital saw around 200 deaths during its operation. The building is now decommissioned and has been since 1992. It has just been left to rot. However, you can take a daytime ghost tour or an after-dark paranormal investigation.
The following two stops will take you to Houston. One spot is considered the oldest building in Houston and the other was once considered a holy place.
Palace of the Golden Orbs
P Fun Wong began work on the palace in 1999 but was suddenly halted in 2001 when she was deported for not having a resident visa. The building has just been sitting empty. You are welcome to check it out, everyone says you can feel an erie feeling around the building.
La Carafe
La Carafe is recognized as the oldest commercial building in Houston, dating back over 120 years. This is a paranormal in enthusiast hot spot. If you are looking for a one-of-a-kind bar experience this is your place. The inside is lit by candlelight, and be careful around the antique door and all of the vintage accessories, you will be transported back in time and could encounter a spirit from the past.
Patterson Road
Patterson Road is also in Houston. There must be a lot of spirits in Houston. This could be one of the creepiest stories ever. This is considered one of the most haunted roads in Texas. You better roll up the windows and lock the doors. Legend has it that Patterson Road was part of a battleground during the Civil War and the restless souls of those who lost their lives hang out on Patterson Road. People have reportedly seen things on the road and have heard knuckles tapping on the windows of cars.
Marfa Lights
Now that you are ready to head home take I-10 all the way to Marfa and check out the Marfa lights. The Marfa lights are unexplained orbs that come out of now where for no reason and no one can explain them.
