Yesterday was Veteran's day, a day to honor the men and women who have served our country. It worries me that people don't truly know the meaning behind the holiday. Are we teaching our children where we came from, why America is the land of the free and the home of the brave. Do they really understand the sacrifices made for us to enjoy the life that we live? Do they understand what it truly means to live in a free country? It is our job to teach them that. Sometimes I wonder if Americans as a whole are losing the pride of being an American. It bugs the life out of me to see someone not take off their hat or put their hand over their heart during the national anthem. We need to be thankful for the men and women who have proudly served this country to give us the freedoms we enjoy today. So I take this time to say thank you to all the veterans and those currently serving this great nation. Thank you for your service.
