Valentine’s Weekend Happenings in the Permian Basin
Even as the weather reports convey doom and gloom for the weekend of love--there are still events happening in and around the Midland-Odessa area that haven't been cancelled as of the writing of this blog that can get you out of the house and into some fun with your significant other. One of those events can even help establish a wonderful resource for women and children in Odessa.
The event I'm talking about is tomorrow night at the Odessa Marriott Hotel and Convention Center-where "clean" comic Michael Jr will perform, as well as musical entertainment from former Miss Houston Erica Lane. The evening includes a great dinner with goodies as well. More info on packages for the night, etc can be found here. It all benefits the Jesus House Women and Children's Center as they get up and running in Odessa in their newly remodeled facility.

So don't feel trapped in the house this weekend.... Although--with the weather the way it is--maybe stopping at the store to pick-up a few logs for the fireplace, some wine or other beverages you enjoy, and planning an evening or a weekend IN isn't a bad idea either. Whatever you're doing, stay safe--stay warm, and if you're headed out driving anywhere please remember to allow plenty of space between you and other drivers on the road.
