Thanksgiving has always been my absolute favorite holiday. I know Christmas is preferred by many folks, but for me, there's always been something extra special about spending time with family and being thankful for our blessings.

As great as this holiday is, it can really hit you in the wallet. In fact, the average individual spends approximately $300 per person over the Thanksgiving weekend. That can add up.

To help you decide where to celebrate the holiday affordably this year, WalletHub has put together a list of top Thanksgiving cities. Several metrics went into calculating this list of Turkey Day destinations, including but not limited to the cost of a turkey dinner, area weather forecasts, and potentially delayed flights. These are the cities you want to hit up for Thanksgiving this year. Bring your appetite and keep scrolling as we take a look at which Texas cities made the list.
