On the first Friday of every month, Odessa Arts puts together a group of events happening in or around downtown Odessa. This Friday there are a ton of events happening, something for everyone, even families.

First Friday T-Shirts Giveaway:

Spend $20 or more at any local shop, restaurant, or vendor during the event hours, and show your receipt at the Odessa Arts and Downtown Odessa booth at the 5th & Grant vendor market to receive a FREE t-shirt. Or visit 10+ of the YPO First Friday Passport stops to receive a free t-shirt.

Young Professionals of Odessa (YPO) First Friday Passport Challenge:

Passports can be picked up at any “participating businesses” locations or the vendor markets after 5 pm. Visit 20 or more stops on the passport, you can turn it into the Odessa Arts and Downtown Odessa booth at 5th and Grant vendor market to be entered to win a Cowboy Cocktail Prize Pack.

Medical Center Health System 75th Anniversary Kick-Off:

Medical Center Health System is celebrating 75 years of service and is holding the Diamond Dash Fun Run. This will be a 2k fun run, admission is $10 and every participant will receive a t-shirt. The race will start at 6 pm. There will also be a free concert with the Barnharts and special guest Brian Milson. You may bring lawn chairs.

Odessa College Drive for Success Finale

One lucky OC student will win a new Ford Mustang from Sewell Ford. There will also be a free concert, at Odessa College Downtown 222 E. 4th Street, with The Beadered Strangers featuring NBC The Voice's Austin Allsup. Odessa College will also be giving away free hotdogs along with other giveaways, while supplies last.

Fire Artist's Dinner Party Art Show

This will take place at Homemade Wines. There will be 27 place settings that were created to showcase the artist's unique style and are meant to be a reflective narrative by West Texas Ceramic Artists.

Vendor Market:

This will be located at 5th and Grant in downtown Odessa.

Black Cultural Council of Odessa: will have a vendor market, music, and $5 line dancing classes at the Gertrude Bruce Center.

Copper Rose Ballroom: featuring The Flying Pig Bakery and Confections, Sweet Stix, Vintage Savvy Style, Bags Galore with Melinda, April’s Sweet & Sourdough, MusicLove Products, Family Affair, Desert Artic Treats, Ma’Moos Treasures, hot Mess Giraff, Bedazzle $5 Bling, The Quirky Cupookie, Wrightswares, and Sweet Stix.

Sacrificial Needle (1500 N Grant Ave, Odessa, TX): will have a local vendor market, live art demonstrations, and specials on tattoos and piercings.
