This Is What’s Wrong With The World

So many things in this world don't make any sense these days. We live in a world where using common sense seems to be too hard. Folks these days have no clue as to what is going on.

This is the perfect example of what's wrong with the world. On Friday mornings most of you know I treat myself to coffee from a coffee shop. This coffee chain is known for have liberal standards and stances, so what I am about to tell you shouldn't shock you. One Friday morning I stopped and got Gunner and I iced coffees, which we get very often.  On this particular occasion, I walked in they handed me our coffees and straws and I took off. I got to the station opened up my straw to put it in my drink, which by the way was in a plastic cup, and the straw was a paper straw. Yep, that's right a paper straw for a plastic cup with a plastic lid. That makes absolutely no sense. God forbid we use plastic straws, they are so bad for the environment, but it is ok to put them in plastic cups.

Here is another example of things that don't make since. She will probably get mad at me for this but this is about my sister. My sister will not use paper plates and plastic silverware. One day she was telling me that she had lost a few of her forks which by the way came from a nice silverware set my had bought her. I said why don't you buy plastic wear to take with you to work instead of your good silverware and she said because they cost money and bad for the environment. Really? So you would risk losing your good silverware instead of buying the throw away kind.  During the ice storm back in February she ran out of plates and silverware because she couldn't wash them because their water frozen.
