It came down to the last few minutes, and Aaron Watson has pulled out a very tight victory over Florida Georgia Line in the Showdown. He'll go on now to face a new challenge from Jerrod Niemann.

Watson's new single is "Bluebonnets," and it's not only the most personal song he has ever released, it's also one of the most emotionally impactful songs released to country radio in the last several years. Watson was inspired to write "Bluebonnets" after the death of his baby girl, Julia, and the song bears a message that will resonate with listeners from all walks of life.

Niemann just announced a new deal with Curb Records in March, and his latest, "A Little More Love," is the first single he's released from an upcoming album for the label. The song features his longtime friend Lee Brice, and it's a sure-fire summer anthem, with a mid-tempo road trip vibe and a singalong chorus. Two very different songs, but only one can go on to the next round of the Showdown.

Listen to clips of both Watson’s and Niemann's songs and vote for your favorite here. You can vote once every hour until this Showdown ends on Friday at 8AM ET, so come back and vote often to be sure your artist wins. The winner of this matchup will face a new challenger on Friday.

Showdown Rules: The song with the most votes wins, and the winner goes on to face a new challenger in the next Showdown. Vote as much as once per hour online. If a song wins five Showdowns in a row, it will be retired into the Taste of Country Showdown Hall of Fame to allow for new songs to compete. Some songs will be considered for a second Showdown if voter turnout is healthy in a losing effort.
