Guys, please read this two or three times if you need to... She doesn't love you, she just wants your money. Not just the guys either, ladies, this goes for you too. These scams go both ways, praying on lonely and many times older people. What should you look out for? Let's take a look.

These scams take many forms, but when you start looking at them closely, patterns emerge, and the motive is always the same, people trying to swindle you out of your money by playing with your heart. Don't believe them.

No celebrity is ever going to contact you and ask for money to make their next movie or next album. There is no Nigerian Prince, but there are a ton of people working to find their next victim while pretending to be one.

The most insidious to me are the people who play you for a sucker by pretending they are looking for love and interested in... you. I get these solicitations all the time on Facebook and Instagram from young, usually hot babes, looking all sultry in a brand new or recently made profile and looking for "real love". Please! Why on earth would they be looking for love, unsolicited mind you, from me?

SocialCatfish.com has done a ton of research and even infiltrated many of these scam organizations to find out how they work and avoid prosecution.

We're talking big money is being lost every year and in 2022 the number almost tripled year over year, from 547 million to 1.3 billion lost to scammers across the US. The worst hit last year was the state of California, losing $158.1 million dollars from 2,189 victims. Texas came in at #2 on the list of the most money lost at $60.3 million from 1,331 victims. Arkansas came in mid-pack with 142 victims and $6 million lost.

Get this, the average amount of money lost per victim in Texas is $45,000! Are you kidding me? The amount in California is even worse at over $72,000 per victim. That's some crazy money.

Even though Arkansas was middle of the pack in money lost last year, the state was, unfortunately, #1 in another statistic, percentage increase. Arkansas increased 398.1% from 2021 to 2022. WOW! Like the Luke Bryan song says "Most People Are Good", and I believe that, we don't like to think that there are bad people trying to scam us at every turn, but it's true.

What to watch out for?

Generally speaking, anything that sounds too good to be true usually is. Think it through, if someone you have never met face to face is promising you'll make a ton of money investing like they do, run! If someone you don't know says they just need a little seed money to get this new project started, run again! Sigt-unseen digital currency investments, run fast! If some girl or guy that's hotter than a bond fire is suddenly smitten with you, don't send them any money to come visit you, hide your wallet and run! If you're contacted by someone supposedly in the military who's just trying to get home and meet you... you get the idea.

New Automated McDonalds in Ft Worth, Texas Gallery:

The fact is, this McDonalds is not "fully automated", they have a smaller staff working in the kitchen filling the orders, but the counter-person, all-to-often found with a bad attitude, has been eliminated in this dining concept. This new McDonalds is much smaller and has no seating for indoor dining. This is a take-out-only concept with all staff concentrating on getting the orders right. Will it work? We'll see.
