27-year-old Waldo Montano was working his shift at Hooters when he recognized a group of kids walking around selling chocolate bars inside the store, "They've come in several times since I've been working there for over a year," Montano said.

The group of kids has bothered customers in the past and were not supposed to be inside the store, however, the group began to get extremely rowdy, "Solicitation is not allowed -- I was pushing them out, and they started wrecking the place up," Montano explained.

TROUBLE MOVES OUTSIDE

Once the kids were outside the door, more trouble ensued. Three more adults came up to Montano and began arguing with him. Then, Montano is quickly struck with a 'hard object.'

Montano details the attack, stating he was then hit in the head and arm, "I get hit with a pipe -- and I'm disoriented. I don't know what to do." He is knocked to the floor where he is continuously kicked and punched. "I felt fear -- like genuine fear. I didn't know what to do. I was in the corner until I realized I had to get out of there.," Montano said.

Then, one of the attackers picks up a cigarette bin and throws it through a glass window. A few people were in the crossfire, including a waitress and a customer who tried intervening.

The culprits fled the scene before the police arrived. Montano ultimately suffered injuries to his head and fractured his arm. A waitress was sent to the ER due to cuts from broken glass, as well as the customer who tried to intervene.

"We're all going through our battles in life, so it gives nobody the right to come in and treat us like trash. I was just doing my job," Montano said. He wants to press charges and bring justice to the situation.
