Texas #1 in flu cases

Last week, Texas led America in the number of flu cases.  West Texas was rated "moderate" for the risk.  The higher number of cases were where you'd expect, Dallas-Houston.  Are people sick at your home and or work?  Will we have a "pandemic"?  What is a "pandemic"?.  I saw this story from Texas Tech.
