If you're single, you'll get a chuckle out of this... If you're not, you'll get a full laugh. Maybe even a "belly laugh". I can tell you with 100% certainty that at the time this happened-I was NOT laughing. I can look back now and laugh at the whole thing but it took a while.

I had been married about a year back in the late 90s when I had the opportunity to go see an artist whose music I love, and who I also had a little crush on. Namely--Terri Clark. We all have those harmless celebrity crushes. Sometimes, we tell our significant others about them in general conversation and perhaps even joke about the possibility of anything ever becoming a reality--like the opportunity to "mess around" with said celebrity actually happening and getting a 'hall pass' on the relationship if it ever did (in other words--if said celebrity was a willing participant in said messing around, there's no harm no foul in your relationship with your spouse or partner).

Fast forward to the concert. I had gotten backstage meet-and-greet passes from the radio station I was working for at the time, so the wife and I got to meet Terri Clark backstage before the show. As we stood in line and watched her shake everyone's hand and chit-chat and take pictures--we were the last ones in line to go up to her. Once we were there, Terri shook my hand, then my wife's, and my wife looked at her and said "Nice to meet you.... YOU'RE THE OTHER WOMAN!". My wife laughed--Terri didn't. Her response was: "Well---I've never wanted to be that!!". And at that moment I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me.

Extremely embarrassed--I just said, "It's really nice to meet you--can we get a picture?". Terri smiled and said "Sure"--and we took the picture---said bye and have a great show and that was it. Many years have flown by since then so I'm sure Terri has had way more happen to her during fan meet and greets... Moments that were more memorable. But for me--I'll always remember the time my face was red as an apple from blushing in front of Terri Clark.
