Odessa’s Newest BBQ Joint Is Now Open

Back in December, we shared the news that the legendary Sandwichery in Odessa would be closing its doors after 37 years.  In a Facebook post, the Sandwichery Sanwich Shopped announced that December 29th would be the last day that the new owner Michael Loya would be taking over the property and opening his third location of Tall City Meat Market.

Loya opened his first Tall City Meat Market on Big Spring Street in Midland in January of 2020. A few years later he would open his second location in Greenwood. Since opening his first location Michael Loya has always dreamed of expanding his business into other cities, now that dream is a reality. After some reconstruction and updates Tall City Meat Market #3 is open and ready for business.  They are located at 1007 E Sixth Street. Tall City is still waiting for their sign to be put up but if you are looking for a sign just look for Michael's signature BBQ pit out front.

Tall City Meat Market will be open Tuesday- Saturday from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM or until sold out. You can enjoy your choice of brisket, ribs, turkey and sausage. The sides will include coleslaw, potato salad, and banana pudding for dessert. Soon they will open for dinner and the meat market will be open daily.  Tall City Meat Market is also available for catering.

They opened yesterday with just a soft opening and served over 300 plates,  I would say they are off to a good start!
