The hospital opened it's doors in 1962 with the mission that no child should die in the dawn of life. And that is what we are still fighting for today. Danny Thomas also pledged that no one would be turned away due to the inability to pay. No patient or family ever pays for housing, travel, food or treatment while at St. Jude.
