I remember growing up in the '80s eating some really good food with my parents. Well, to my little adolescent self, it was good anyway. It was typically a weekend thing, do some shopping in Odessa or Midland, then go to a restaurant of mom or dad's choice. They didn't ask me. I would eat at McDonald's every day back in the day if I could. lol

I know we all have our favorites in just about any category you could throw out. Favorite place to grocery shop. Favorite place to get a mani/pedi, get your hair done, boutique, place to grab a sweet tea. I mean the possibilities are endless because we have a lot of good stuff here in Midland and Odessa. If you were to ask all of your friends and family, people in your circle what their favorite food is, I'm guessing they would say pizza, hands down! I would definitely say that is how it is with my clan, myself included. Therefore we are always on the hunt, am I right? Who has the best pizza in the 432?

March 31st of this year was the 27th anniversary of a Texas legend's passing, Selena Quintanilla Perez. It is also the 25th anniversary of the movie in which Jennifer Lopez was cast to play the 'queen of Tejano music.' So many milestones for us fans to be able to honor Selena's music and her legacy both nationally and on a local level as well.

Unfortunately, right after the pandemic, we lost our beloved Stein Mart store off of loop 250 in Midland. I loved and visited that store on a few occasions over the years but now that it is gone, something must take its place. It is quite a large store so a nice, big city department store would be nice.

To say gas prices are up is the understatement of the year! I doubt anyone is filling up for less than 50 bucks these days, no matter what kind of car you drive. I see the gas stations with 'cheaper gas' lined up 5 and 6 cars deep. Tomorrow, March 1st is Fat Tuesday, so get ready for some Mardi Gras celebrations all day throughout the 432! I would have to say right off the bat I am not a Chinese food connoisseur by any means. I know what I personally like and the places I go to frequently. Leo can give you the scoop.
