All four of the City of El Paso's regional water parks will open for the season on Memorial weekend.

Camp Cohen, Chapoteo, Lost Kingdom, and Oasis will open daily starting Saturday, and with temperatures expected to hover near the century mark, the timing couldn’t be more perfect.

Catch a Wave

Surfs Up! In El Paso? Yup. We have the sand and the dunes, and now we have waves, too.

The resort-style retreat themed water park, located at Eastside Regional Park, is home to Flash Flood Rush, a wave simulator. The surfing water attraction is the only one of its kind in all of West Texas and Southern New Mexico.

Instead of heading west to Cali to ride a wave, you’ll only have to drive to Oasis Water Park on the far east side of town. I’m talking “hanging ten” in the middle of the desert. Cowabunga, dude!

Along with the wave simulator, the largest of the four city-run water parks has a meandering lazy river, climbing wall pool, slides, leisure pool, kiddie pool, cabanas and a café.
