First off, let me begin by saying this is not directed to anyone or any organization that is in actual need of help. Many times Go Fund Me accounts are set up for people for are in real need. However, it would be best if you didn't use Go Fund Me for an actual need you are raising money for because they take 10% of the money that is presented. Your best bet is to open an account at a bank for the person or organization in need. I am all about helping people that actually need help, for example, someone who has lost everything in a fire or has serious medical expenses.

It's been a while since I have been on a soap box, so here I go! I am so over people asking for money on Facebook, like hey it's my kid's birthday, here's my Cash App. If I know you or your kid well enough, you have probably invited me to their party or I am getting them a gift. If it is your birthday and I want to give you a gift, I'll reach out to you. Don't post it's your birthday, so send you money so you can go to dinner. Do any of you ever just send random people money because they threw out their Cash App or Venmo?

If someone was to post something like, hey I'm experiencing hard times, my kids need a few things, that's one thing but to just be asking for money is another. If you can't afford to go on vacation don't expect the rest of us to pay for it. We all work hard for our money and have expenses of our own. It's hard enough taking care of ourselves and our own, we can't afford your luxuries too.
