Steve Earle has been involved in music since he was 13 years old, he has been at it for 53 years. Some of the instruments he can play are guitar, mandolin, and the harmonica.
A little Steve Earle history, he ran away from home at the age of 14 to find his idol Townes Van Zandt. He didn't find him, so at the age of 16 he moved to Houston with his 19 year old uncle where he did finally run into Van Zandt. He moved to to Nashville in 1974 to become a singer/song writer. It wasn't until 1986 that he released his first full length album "Guitar Town." Here is another fun fact, Steve Earle has been married seven times. One woman he married twice. He seems to be the male version of Elizabeth Taylor
