School Zones Are Active Again

With MISD starting  the 2020-2021 school year with online and distance learning, you may have noticed the school zone lights have not been flashing. Than will change on Tuesday.

Tuesday September 8th, school zone speed limits will be enforced. Campuses will be opening on Tuesday as part of the phasing in of students.

"It is critical to slow down, scan the sidewalks for students who may be attempting to dart into traffic, and observe school zone flashing lights," said Arthur Barclay, Chief of Midland ISD Police.

Be aware of your surroundings, what for students on sidewalks and crosswalks. Also be sure to patient to the speed limit signs.
