The Texas Lottery Mega Millions jackpot is up to $810 million for tonight's drawing. If you were to win and you took the cash option, you would walk away with over $470 million.

When a jackpot gets to this magnitude, you always hear about family, friends, and co-workers pulling their money together to buy more tickets to try to have a better chance of winning. But, have you ever heard of an employer buying every one of his employees a ticket, especially when he has about 50,000 employees.

The owner of Raising Cane's, Todd Graves wanted to have a little fun with his employee all while possibly giving them a big bonus. Todd went and purchased a ticket for every employee, totaling about 50,000, meaning he spent $100,000 on Mega Millions tickets.

If they were to win each employee would get anywhere between $10-$20,000 bonus. I don't know about you but I think that is a great idea. Todd, says their team stands together and they are having some fun doing it.

I don't know many employers that would risk $100,000 for their employees. I understand it's probably for a tax write-off and for publicity but if they win, he will be employer of the year.

If you didn't know the largest Raising Cane's restaurant in the chain just opened right here in Odessa. Raising Cane's is known for their chicken fingers and special sauce. The Midland location opened a few years ago and constantly has a line around it because everyone wants those chicken fingers. The Odessa location, on 42nd Street, opened earlier this year.
