We all love the fact that we can hop on a plane and take a direct flight that is only two hours to Las Vegas, Nevada. The trip to Vegas from here is so easy that the direct flight is constantly sold out. I know myself I go several times a year just like many of you.

Every large casino/hotel in Las Vegas has some kind of theme to their hotel. For example, Araia has an Asian theme, Venetian has an Italian theme, and Ceasers Palace has a Roman theme. If you have been to Las Vegas lately you may have noticed a dome-like structure being built right off the strip, that is going to become a moon hotel that is space-themed and you will even be able to ride in a moon buggy. And now Vegas is about to get its very first Latino-themed hotel and casino. I love its name, Ojos Locos Sports Cantina y Casino at Hotel Jefe.

Fifth Street Gaming, the owner of Lucky Club Casino, and Jefebet, a gambling, and multi-media company for bilingual and Spanish-speaking Americans have purchased the Lucky Club Casino in north Las Vegas and are going to give it new life. Fifth Street Gaming CEO gave the following statement:

“We are gratified to join together on this endeavor with Ojos Locos, a vibrant and growing brand that has, over the last 12 years, established itself as a national leader in providing authentic hospitality experiences to the Latino community. Their expertise, combined with our 15-year record of producing successful events designed for the Latino audience in Southern Nevada, makes them the ideal partner in this first-ever Latino-focused integrated gaming, dining, and entertainment venture.” The Sports Geek

Ojos Locos Sports Cantina y Casino at Hotel Jefe will host a 10,000-square-foot casino and a 10,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor event center. The event center will host Latino artists, Mexican Rodeos, and food festivals. It will also feature the very first Ojos Locos Sports Cantina as the hub of its dining, entertainment, and nightlife. There are 18 other Ojos Locos Sports Cantinas around the southwest but this will be the largest.

Ojos Locos Sports Cantina describes itself like this:

You have entered in to the best Latin Sports Cantina en el Mundo, Gringos welcomed too! Sit back, relax and enjoy made from scratch Mexican comida, ice cold cerveza served by our chicas coquetas y bonitas, watch your favorite team play, party with friends and dine with family.

We offer State-of-the-art wall-to-wall HD TV’s broadcasting all day deportes.  Don’t be surprised by the sound of Gooooolllll, we love Fútbol but we are also your headquarters for Boxing, UFC, NFL, NBA and MLB.  OLSC

Their menu looks amazing. Check it out HERE! Even if I don't stay at the hotel, I definitely want to check out the restaurant. With it being a Latino-themed hotel/casino with a sports flare, I am wondering if it will be similar to Cirque on Freemont. There are 19 Ojos Locos locations in Texas. You can find them in Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, San Antonio, Austin, El Paso, and more.

As of right now, there is not an official opening date but Fifth Street Gaming has it will be the end of 2022, so we are getting close.

Here are some pics from different Ojos Locos Sports Cantina so can kind of see what to expect.
