Every Wednesday we feature a different pet that needs a new forever home here in the Basin from Lonestar Sanctuary For Animals. Sometimes it's a dog, sometimes it's a cat. They haven't had any guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, or snakes---yet. But you never know!

Meet Echo!

This sweet female 5 years and 10-months-old Cattle Dog was adopted from the Sanctuary as a puppy, and was sadly surrendered to Animal Control by her owner 5 years later after his life circumstances had changed.  Happily, animal control scanned her microchip and called Lone Star Sanctuary For Animals to come and get her. Echo loves everyone and has lots of energy!  She is a great car rider and enjoys playing with other dogs. She is a very expressive dog and eager to please! Echo would be great for an active family and could most likely be trained to be a jogging buddy. She has been around babies and small children and does very well with them. Echo's new adopters would need to have a fenced-in yard to help meet her exercise requirements but she would also need someone who was committed to walking her daily. If this beautiful happy dog sounds like she would be a great addition to your household, please come meet her during visiting hours of 1 pm till 4:30 pm every day except Thursdays, at the Lonestar Sanctuary For Animals--4200 Fairgrounds Road in Midland.

And if for some reason you're not looking for a pet right now--please click SHARE and post this to your social media so we can help Echo find her forever home. Or perhaps you're looking for a different new furry friend. There are so many fur babies who would love to meet you so stop by and pay them a visit! There are plenty of dogs and cats to choose from who would love to be your next family member.

The Lone Star Sanctuary For Animals can always use supplies as well so if you can, stop by and drop off a donation to help the staff care for the shelter animals till they can find their forever homes. Needed right now:
