Kid Rock's childhood home is up for sale and it's ... uh, much different than you probably expect. The country rocker, born Robert Ritchie, was raised in rural Michigan, about 40 miles north of Detroit, in a 22-room, 5,660-square-foot home that could be yours for $599,900.

Located on Henry Ross Drive in Bruce Township, Mich., the rambling, farmhouse-inspired mansion was built by Rock's father, Bill Ritchie, in 1972, one year after Rock was born. The elder Ritchie owned several local car dealership, according to Realtor.com. The five-bedroom, seven-bathroom home sits on 5.5 acres of land -- a lot of space for a guy who sings that he's "straight out the trailer" in his 1998 hit "Cowboy."

Also containing a five-car garage, a partly finished walkout basement, a guesthouse, a three-stall horse barn, a tennis court and a pool, the Ritchie family estate was completely renovated in 2004. The listing with Morgan & Milzow Realtors describes the home as "warm and inviting for the relaxed country gentleman or the entertaining driven profile;" it also notes that the house is outfitted with "extensive security and surveillance."

Rock is set to launch his Red Blooded Rock n' Roll Redneck Extravaganza Tour is scheduled to begin on Friday (Aug. 3). Brantley Gilbert and Wheeler Walker Jr. are slotted to perform most of the tour's stops, with additional support from A Thousand Horses on select dates.
