Last year, Martin J started to create quite the local buzz when several of his videos began to gain traction in the city.

A barber by day, in his off time, he spends time reviewing local eateries and small businesses. His presentation and authentic demeanor come off as exceedingly likable, which resonates with locals.

Martin J Gets His Own Mexican Popsicle in His Name

Recently, Martin J reviewed the newest location of La Michoacana Paleteria, located at 9876 West University in Odessa.

During his review, he asked the general manager what it would take to get a customized flavored popsicle in his name. 

La Michoacana Paleteria agreed to create a custom flavor and asked Martin J what he wanted inside it.

I told them I wanted a chocolate popsicle with a blueberry filling. -Martin J

Martin J says they were initially hesitant to create the flavor, as the combination didn't seem like it would work.

However, they still agreed to give it a chance. After several days, La Michoacana Paleteria reached out to Martin J and told him that they had made it happen and to come by to try it.

The unexpected pairing of chocolate and blueberry proved a hit, with the popsicle receiving rave reviews for its delicious flavor.

La Michoacana decided to sell a limited amount of the popsicles and name them "MJ Review".

They are selling a limited amount at the moment, but if they become a fan favorite, there's a possibility they'll be added to the regular menu.
