It really shouldn't be a surprise that several European countries will fit inside the borders of Texas. Just look at a map of Europe. They've crammed all of that history into some tiny places when you compare them to the Lone Star State.

Some European countries will only fit one or two at a time. There are several that will fit all at the same time.

Germany Will Fit Inside Of Texas

Texas is much larger than Germany. Keep in mind that if Texas was a country by itself, it would the 40th largest country in the world. So of course Germany would fit inside Texas.

Texas is roughly 268,597 square miles in size. Germany comes in at about 138,067 square miles.  So you could fit Germany inside of Texas and have some room to spare.

France Will Fit Inside Of Texas

France is the one European country that comes the closest to Texas in terms of girth. France measures roughly 213,011 square miles in size. That's just shy of the Lone Star State's 268,597 square miles.

What you might not realize is that even though Texas itself is larger, the populations of Germany and France are much larger than the population of Texas. They really know how to squeeze people in across the pond.

Can The United Kingdom Fit Inside Of Texas?

Are cow patties flat? Yes. The United Kingdom is shockingly only one-third the size of Texas. It's hard to imagine the whole United Kingdom being shoved between the deserts of West Texas and the pines out in East Texas.

What Other Countries Would Fit Inside Of Texas?

Greece is known for being the birthplace of philosophy and democracy. Our culture and society owe a lot to Greece, and it will fit inside of Texas. Supposedly, you can fit Greece five times within the borders of the Lone Star State.
