Have you ever had your car stolen? You wouldn't be the first. My sister just had hers stolen last year, and mine was broken into and rummaged through not long ago. It's wild out there in Lubbock, Texas right now, guys. It might be time to take some extra precautions to keep your vehicle and your belongings safe.

Ex-con and popular TikToker @treeswalk went viral for a recent video she posted that gives great advice on how to keep your vehicle safe. She used to STEAL cars and break into homes for a living, and she knows exactly what thieves are looking for when it comes to car theft.

The first thing she mentions in her video is the importance of having a steering wheel lock. She says you can buy them pretty cheaply on Amazon. Steering wheel locks make it a lot more difficult for a thief to steal your car.

Next, she says to invest in a tire lock. The thief may still be able to get it off, but much like the steering wheel lock, it's going to make the process of stealing your ride WAY more time-consuming. They want to get out of there fast, so anything to slow them down is a good idea.

Lastly, she says that the best way to keep your vehicle from being stolen is to make sure you invest in a car that has a good anti-theft system. Loud alarms are going to draw attention to the carjacker, and that's the last thing they want. Make sure you have a good alarm system!
