No adult in Texas wants to go to jail. While I have never been, I have heard that going to jail in Texas is not exactly a fun experience and I will just assume that is correct. I certainly don’t want to go.

But you can still break laws while walking down the street — and risk arrest. It generally takes more than simply walking, but certain actions can lead to police contact. They have more important things to do than just stop someone while they’re walking.

Legal Consequences & Costs

If you break the law in Texas and officers decide to arrest you, you could end up in jail. Beyond losing your freedom, you’ll likely face court costs and other penalties. Which is why you need to be on your best behavior at all times.

Once you are arrested once, you need to understand that information is available to police officers. Which could make it easier for them to see that you have been arrested or have a series of arrests which just makes you look worse. It’s important to never get in trouble with law enforcement.

Also, now it’s common for anyone around to take a photo or video of anything involving law enforcement so getting arrested could mean that you go viral online for all the wrong reasons.
