As everyone knows the Genghis Grill location in Odessa in the Music City Mall parking lot has been closed for some time now. Everyone has speculated what could move into the building next, some have also wondered if it would just sit there empty forever.

I'm not one to gossip so you didn't hear this from me, LOL! I heard a rumor that Parry's Pizzeria and Taphouse may be moving in. Apparently, I don't get out much but I had never heard of Parry's. I thought maybe it was going to be a local mom-and-pop place but it's actually a chain and they have one in Lubbock.

Their slogan is "Born In Colorado, Raised On New York-Style Pizza and Craft Beer." I think that sounds like a perfect restaurant to call the Permian Basin Home.  They started in Colorado but in 2020 expanded to the Dallas area. In 2022 they opened two more Texas locations in Lubbock and San Antonio. According to their website, they plan on opening six more locations in Texas this year, so Odessa very well could be one of their new locations.

The feel and aesthetic of the restaurant is designed to reflect an industrial New York warehouse. Checking out their menu, I am thoroughly impressed. Any restaurant that has a Caprese salad has me right away. Their appetizers look amazing and I can't wait to try their homemade white ketchup. That sound quite interesting to me. I love the fact that their pizzas are all New York-themed names.

You can't forget the Taphouse in each restaurant. Each Parry's has its own tap house that serves select craft beers.

Now like I said, I cannot confirm this is true but I have heard it from multiple sources. Even though right now it's just a rumor, I wouldn't mind if it's true.
