There is going to be some strong feelings on this particular subject, but Senate Bill 41 or the “Allie’s Way Act” has already been proposed. This is a new bill for the state of Texas that would require drivers to put their phone down when behind the wheel. According to KVUE the bill has a big supporter as AAA Texas has rallied to get this bill passed in hopes of saving lives on roads all over the state of Texas.

But, when you talk to Texans about adding laws to the books, you’re generally not going to get a lot of support. There is a feeling among most Texans that we don’t need more rules from the government telling us what we can and cannot do as citizens in the United States. This issue really comes down to safety, but again people don’t like being told what to do.
