Garth can do what he wants. He’s earned it

Garth Brooks, CMA Entertainer of the year admits to lip-syncing a performance at the CMA's.

He said he wasn't feeling well (sick).  Do they just flip on his CD?  Producers must be prepared to do that?

Personally, no big deal.  1.  Beatles 2. Garth 3.  Elvis in units sold in a lifetime.  I'd be happy to just spend my days not having to tolerate obnoxious people and not have to worry about income.
