These days we all live and die by Social Media. If you're not on some form of it, whether it's Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Tik Tok--doesn't matter. And most of us have more than one we frequent. For me it's usually Facebook and Instagram. Not much into the others, although I do have a Twitter account. I just don't use it much. Originally, when I started with Facebook back in 2008 after getting an invite from another colleague in radio--I thought it would be a fantastic way to find former classmates and coworkers from over the years--reconnect and reminisce. But it's certainly evolved into way much more than that.

Over the past 13 years I've been on--I have accomplished finding so many old friends, or they've managed to find me. People I was sure I'd never speak to again. And I'm sure it's the same for you. And one of the things I like and can't stand about facebook all at the same time--is the "Memories" feature. I love it because it reminds me of so many great posts along the way, and I hate it because it reminds me of so many great posts along the way. I don't mind remembering when my daughter graduated from 8th grade--and seeing the pictures we posted from the event. But then I really don't want to be reminded about when we had to put our dog to sleep and say goodbye because she was 14 and couldn't walk anymore..... So I'm always torn.

Plus--with what we do for a profession--we are usually required to be on social media to engage with our audiences. The one thing that's ALWAYS interesting to me, though, is seeing those memories pop-up, and clicking on them and going back to see who liked a post or commented on it--and sometimes you find out little interesting tidbits like maybe you've been UNFRIENDED by someone you didn't know had deleted you... It's not like you get a notification when someone drops you. I like to go back and "Like" their comment again so that they get a notification that I liked it lol.... Has this happened to you? And what (if anything) did you do? Send them a new friend request? Do what I do and "Like" their comment? Or just ignore it and move on?
