Don't Call It A Comeback! Piggly-Wiggly is Coming Back To Texas!

Go little piggy! What catches your eye or ear? A crazy name for a store maybe? Don't you love stores that have some crazy fun names? I would say Buc-ee's is one of them. It's just a name that is out there, catchy, fun, and funny at times.

IS THE NAME 'PIGGLY WIGGLY' THE FUNNIEST STORE NAME EVER?

Now, let's just say that the store did not originate in Texas, but at one time there were many Piggly Wigglys in Texas. Even back in the late 1940s, Midland, Texas had a Piggly Wiggly on Illinois Street. (See Pic Below) Odessa had one in 1939 as well on Grant Street. near 5th street.

PIGGLY WIGGLY JUST OPENED A STORE IN ATHENS, TEXAS!

While Piggly Wiggly's eventually started leaving Texas locations, is there a comeback about to happen for Texas? There are only two Piggly Wiggly stores currently in Texas. There is one in Paris, Texas and now one in Athens, Texas! They are in the process of converting their Sav-On store to a Piggly Wiggly! And, more may be on the way!

I mean let's be real. PIGGLY WIGGLY should go down as the COOLEST NAME ever for any store in the history of the planet. LOL. I'm just saying. I want to work there just so I can say....
