Dog Lovers In Midland Odessa UNITE!
One of the things I love the most about living in the Basin is the weather. Sure, most of this summer has been a HOT ONE--and even though it stays that way most of the day, it starts to cool down in the evenings once the sun starts to go down... The doctor says I have to walk 30 minutes a day after heart surgery-- it certainly helps that I have an 8-year-old hound mix that loves to go on walks every single day. This is my Reagan:
My Reagan Renee loves her walks. The problem is--where to go next? We live on the outskirts of town in one of the new construction neighborhoods--and walking around the same streets over and over can get a little boring. We have started to explore the subdivision next to ours--but once we've walked those streets--then what? Time to find new adventures with our leash and sneakers. We've done Wadley-Barron Park a few times and all the sidewalks in the Adobe Meadows subdivision as well as Daybreak Estates. One day soon, when the weather cools down more, we'll venture as far down as the Lonestar Trails sidewalks and venture around in there for a bit, maybe hit the Dollar General on Big Spring for something to drink afterward.
Most people say the reason they get a dog, aside from just being animal lovers in general, is for the exercise. So--where do YOU go to walk your dog other than in your own neighborhood? Post in the comments and tell me--share so other dog owners who need to walk too can have some alternate ideas! And Thanks!
