Colorado Trying To ‘Out-Texas,’ Texas at the Game of Migrants
When you play the game of migrants, you win or you die. There is no middle ground.
That's how some U.S. Governors are playing the game, at least.

Throughout the fall of 2022, republican Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Florida Governor Ron Desantis seemed to be competing for the title of mightiest Migrant Vanquisher, but now, democratic Governor Jared Polis is throwing Colorado's hat into the ring.
"Like many major cities around the country, Denver has been struggling to provide services for a surge of people who have fled their home countries in Central and South America, crossed the southern border, and sought asylum in the United States.
Over the past month, more than 3,500 migrants have arrived in Denver, according to the city, and each night around 1,800 asylum seekers have sought shelter in the city."
The Dem Gov is sending the migrants to large cities like New York, which isn't making the Big Apples mayor happy.
"This is just unfair for local governments to have to take on this national obligation," said New York City Mayor Eric Adams.
At least the Colorado Governor isn't trying to send them to Martha's Vineyard with an agenda that has nothing to do with the health and welfare of these people in crisis.
There's nothing more dehumanizing than treating people, who have no choice in what's happening to them, as pawns in a game.
But this latest move by the Governor of Colorado, shifting the problem to other cities, also seems like an untenable position.
In the game of migrants, there are no winners, just losers.
