City Of Odessa Hosts Free First Friday Event With So Many Activities
The City of Odessa and Downtown Odessa have teamed up for First Friday Events in the city. This Friday, November 3rd, the first Friday of the month, join downtown businesses for a Dia De Los Muertos theme. Multiple businesses will extend their regular hours to take part in the festivities. The hours of the event are from 6-9 p.m. Everyone can enjoy free hot chocolate while it lasts. You can enjoy live music, food trucks, pottery demonstrations, culinary college demonstrations, and crafts for all ages. You can also enjoy performances by the OC Blues Dancers, youth-based Mariachi, and Ballet Folkorico.

West Texas Symphony (Cooper Rose Building, 415 N. Grant Ave.)
- Hosting a ticketed performance of "Da Capo" performed by the Permian Basin String Quartet.
Dough by Brother Rabbit (Cooper Rose Building, 415 N. Grant Ave.)
- Baked goods for sale.
Retro Hall Video Games and Collectibles (Cooper Rose Building, Basement)
- Hosting Game Night and Halloween Costume Contest.
Downtown Odessa, Inc. (Copper Key Gifts)
- Offering free T-shirts with a $20 purchase from a participating First Friday store.(Must show receipt)
Ector Co. Library (321 W. Fifth St.)
- Open for normal hours.
- First Friday free story time and children’s craft from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Homemade Wines (400 N. Texas Ave.)
- Live jazz performance by Al Haney.
- Wine tastings and food offerings.
Isy’s Fine Jewelry (409 N. Grant Ave.)
- Kids can make stamped silver jewelry
JoAnn’s on 5th Flowers (610 W. Fifth St.)
- Hosting a DIY floral crown activity for Dia de Los Muertos.
McJack’s General Store (411 N. Grant Ave.)
- Open for extended shopping hours.
- Set up Christmas merchandise and specials on Halloween merchandise.
Odessa College Green Space (Corner of E. Fourth St. and North Jackson Ave.)
- Raising awareness for Domestic Violence Month.
- The first 100 people will get an Odessa College portable speaker.
