Tickets are on sale now for "Dear Rodeo" the Cody Johnson story. Cody Johnson is a huge fan favorite not just here in West Texas and Texas but on a national level as well. Cody was the first independent artist to sell out the Houston Rodeo. Just a few weeks ago Cody Johnson played back to back sold out shows at the White Water Amphitheater in New Braunfels.

Cinergy Cinemas in Odessa will be showing "Dear Rodeo" the Cody Johnson story. It is only set to show one night, Tuesday August 10th.

"Dear Rodeo" is Cody Johnson's latest single. He even has a duet version with Reba. If you don't know Cody Johnson was once big into rodeo and the song is about how rodeo let him go, he didn't let rodeo go. Cody thought he would have a long and successful rodeo career and then life happened but I would say everything turned out ok.

Cody Johnson's on night documentary will show on theater screens all across America. Here locally Cinergy Odessa will be hosting the event. Tickets are on sale now. You can get your tickets HERE

Any Cody Johnson fan knows that music wasn’t the Texan’s first love. His hit song “Dear Rodeo” paints the heartbreaking picture of how the rodeo was his one that got away. But a four-minute song isn’t enough to tell the full story of Johnson’s move from the rodeo to the radio.

Dear Rodeo: The Cody Johnson Story, a brand-new cinematic feature-length documentary, is the much bigger picture, recounting Johnson’s real-life journey from the dusty rodeo arenas of rural Texas to some of the biggest musical stages in America.

Every emotion Johnson felt over the past 20 years – whether he was standing in the back of the chute at the rodeo or singing about it in front of 75,000 fans – is captured vividly in this big screen experience, with all the highs and lows that come from the dreams you cling to and the dreams you ultimately let go of.

Featuring interviews with Reba McEntire, Taya Kyle (the widow of “American Sniper” Chris Kyle), and more, this evocative and celebratory film is a love letter to everyone who has had to abandon a dream in order to find true purpose.              Cody Johnson Films
