As we all know COVID changed so many things for us. So many things were shut down for so long and we missed out on taking trips and doing things we enjoy. The pandemic changed things for many businesses, they were no longer able to operate normally. Moody Gardens in Galveston was one of those places where so much had to change and they had to pause their annual Holiday in The Gardens. After a two-year hiatus, Moody Gardens Holiday in the Gardens is back in full effect with many attractions. Iceland is returning, 4D Christmas movies, Festival of Lights, train rides and so much more!

I actually visited Moody Gardens Holiday In The Gardens a few years ago and it was absolutely incredible. One of the best things about the adventure is you can stay at Moody Gardens. Moody Gardens is a full-service resort with restaurants, a spa, a golf course, and so many more amenities. Here are a few things you can enjoy at Holiday in the Gardens:

ICELAND

You will be taken on an underwater journey from the shores of Galveston Island through the Gulf of Mexico. As you explore the depths of the ocean, you will discover sunken treasures and see Christmas surprises along the way. Venture through the beautiful Flower Garden Banks for encounters with spectacular schools of colorful tropical fish, eagle rays, turtles, dolphins, Hammerhead sharks, and more on the way to their Caribbean island destination. There is even an opportunity to enjoy some festive holiday spirits inside of ICE LAND at Shiver’s Ice Bar.

Festival of Lights

Enjoy a festive stroll along this mile-long trail featuring more than two million lights and lighted scenes themed to holiday music that take you around the Moody Gardens property with spectacular views of Galveston Bay. Stops along the way bring you to see Star the Dancing Tree of Light, concession areas, hot chocolate, fireside S'mores and other festive foods, and Mistletoe, along with plenty of photo and selfie opportunities!
