I am so mad this morning. My third cruise I have booked in 2020 has been cancelled. I booked one in July and when that one was cancelled I booked one for August. When those two were cancelled I gave up on the idea of cruising this year. I think the Lord is trying to tell me something.

This year me and most of my friends are turning 40, so we all want to do something fun for our birthday's. One of my friends since high school is turning 40 in December and she chose a cruise for her birthday. She called me on Saturday to let me know that's what they were going to do. I asked her are you sure they were still sailing and she said yes. Fearing the ship would sale out I booked mine on Monday. I opened my email this morning to find once again the "no sail order: had been extended.

Last time my cruises got cancelled, it all worked out because I had to have back surgery. Now I am wondering what is store for me next.

I seriously am not booking another cruise for 2020 or probably any vacation. On the bright side I will be saving money.

Here is the statement I received from Carnival:

Dear Carnival Cruise Line Guest:

We continue to work on our plans for our return to sailing, but in light of the CDC’s decision to extend its no sail order, we have made the decision to cancel some additional cruises for November and December. Regrettably, this impacts your booked cruise, and for that we apologize.

Throughout this pause, we have said that our return to operations will be gradual and phased in. When the time is right and we are able to resume cruising we plan on starting up our operations in Port Miami and Port Canaveral. Consequently, all cruises scheduled to operate from all other U.S. homeports between November 1 and December 31, 2020 have been cancelled. We know this is disappointing as it impacts your vacation and holiday plans.

As we have offered previously during this pause, we are providing two options for you, including a bonus value incentive package that has proven very popular with our guests. We hope you will be able to rebook your vacation using our enhanced value offer, providing a significant onboard credit for use on any future cruise through April 2023.
